Destination Dispatch
Destination dispatch allows managers to assign jobs at specific locations to drivers who have logged on for dispatch in the app. This functionality is not available by default, to have it enabled please contact us.
On the live screen you will see the Destination Dispatch dialog box, here we can enter the title of the request that will be displayed to the driver, the address the driver will be dispatched to via maps, the driver who will be assigned the job, the description of the job and all open jobs.
First any drivers will have to use the app to log on for dispatch, on the asset list they will need to select the three dots next to the asset they wish to log onto. From here they will select “log on for dispatch”. Once they have logged on they will see the list of dispatch requests assigned to them.
Now that they have logged on they will be available under the drivers list in the dispatch dialog box. Once we have entered the other details we can send them the request.
Once the dispatch is sent they will get a push notification and then see their assigned jobs on the app.
If we decide we want to now assign this job to another driver we can click the blue cross on the request to remove the current driver and then click the green tick to assign a new driver to the request.
Once the driver selects the job they have the option to accept or reject the request. If the request is rejected the driver can input a reason that will be sent to the manager, the job will then be removed. When they accept the job they can either send a comment or begin the job. If a comment is sent it will be displayed to the manager on the job list. Once the job is begun, the route to the destination will be opened in the users map app.
While the job is in progress the driver will be able to send a comment, mark the job as complete, pause or reject the job
Once the driver marks the job as complete, to view it you will need to toggle the requests to the completed list.
When using dispatch it can be useful to filter the assets to only assets that currently have users logged on for dispatch
You can also use a distance order marker to find out which asset is closest by right clicking the location on the live map. This will then automatically select the closest asset to that location.
